#11143 WoW breaking --> Titan hurried along?

Posted by DevilsD on 20 July 2014 - 09:54 AM

Blizzard is the only Dev in the world that will ever have a chance at Topping what WoW has done in its lifetime.

Hopefully that is Titan. Only time will tell.

#10825 Project Titan Jobs

Posted by DevilsD on 22 April 2014 - 01:21 PM

Im definitely excited.

With Overwatch being trademarked so soon though im not sure what to think. They did say that they wanted less time between announcement and release with any new games, they must be pretty confident with the name choice if they are ready to trademark it but still leave a while before announcement.

Surely they couldnt have brought "Titan" (Maybe now Overwatch?) back from a Reset to ready to trademark in such a period of time?

Mine just said this. I cant find a time limit, so i guess im there forever lol.

"You are a true survivor. You are willing to do almost anything to keep you and your group of fellow survivors going. You will be there in the end to tell the story of what went down and how you overcame the odds. But at what cost?"

Being Australian and living in the Bush has its advantages haha. I still hate horses though :)

Im going to have to rewatch all of them again before the new Season is out.

#10116 The last PC you'll ever buy?

Posted by DevilsD on 10 January 2014 - 06:29 AM

If everyone remembers Thermaltake did a very Modular but still a conformative designed Case that allowed for Users to swap in and out whatever they wanted all the while maximising Heat disipation by seperation.

Ignoring the rediculous cost of the case itself, i believe its a better solution and a more stylish one at that.

The Thermaltake Level 10, probably by far the best looking case ive ever set eyes on IMO :) Ive got the version just below this one haha.

#10102 The last PC you'll ever buy?

Posted by DevilsD on 09 January 2014 - 06:56 AM

I dont like it, for the simple fact that you are restricted to the type and brand of Hardware you are able to purchase and use to upgrade. Since all the parts are provided by Razer as a Sealed component to be "swapped in and out" means that whatever Razer decides is best or whoever they have Deals with is basically your only choice.

For illiterate Computer Users, perhaps its a step in the right direction, but leaving the Hardcore Min/Maxing PC Users out of loop is a bad thing IMO.

If you could by Empty Pods they werent Factory Sealed and able to have anything installed in them, then it would be ideal for anyone.

It astounds me today that Teenages still Start to Smoke even now when the Facts are so clear and the Risks so great.

It shows poor character, lack of self control and their inability to stop themselves from being manipulated by others.

#9952 Fitness without a gym?

Posted by DevilsD on 12 December 2013 - 11:58 PM

There are four key areas you need to change or modify in your life that will help you in losing weight and it might not be as bad as you think.

Exercise - Obviously vigorous exercise trims fat, since your limited to your upper body and/or light work involving your knees (i assume from an injury) Situps are a great place to start. One slight misconception people think about Situps and can sometimes be concerned with is that they do not directly build your Ab muscles, they trim fat and by trimming fat around your Abs reveals the muscles behind. Any core workouts will also help you, Pushups is another easy one that will help if done properly and also has the added benefit of building strength.

Your not limited to just Gym exercises either. Raising your heart rate is key when trying to burn fat and any activity that makes you sweat will help, something as simple as raking leaves or digging up a garden bed can raise your heart rate and start you sweating.

Something to remember though and it is really important with any exercise. Your better off doing 10 perfect pushups than 100 lazy ones, so practicing technique and making the exercises you do the best you can is far more important than how many. Quality over Quantity.

Diet - Diet is one thing alot of people forget about and its probably the single most important thing you could change on your way to a healthier you. But if your thinking its all bad news then dont stress, if your after trimming fat it doesnt take much to see some results. Eating less sugar and more fruit/vegetables is the best step to take. Something as simple as eating an Apple everyday instead of piece of cake is all the change you will need if your exercising regularly. Anything with a high fibre content is good for you when you want to trim fat.

A word of warning though, do not stop eating. If you stop eating and try to starve yourself, it will have the opposite effect. When your body recognizes your starving yourself, it begins to store fat instead of releasing it and thats bad :)

Sleep - Do not underestimate the power of a good nights sleep. Sleep not only recharges you Mentally but it is integral for recharging you Physically. When doing any workout or exercise your burn fat and tear muscle, sleep is the time the body repairs itself and builds itself backup to prepare you for your next workout. Depriving yourself of sleep is a sure fire way to not only setting you in a bad mood but you wont be seeing peak results from your workouts either. 7 Hours of sleep a night is a fairly good amount, under-sleeping and also oversleeping is bad for your mental and physical health.

Stress - Although stress being unavoidable for some people, re-leaving stress is another excellent way to improve your overall mental and physical well being. If your stressed i find that exercising helps me to calm down and focus, plus i get a workout. If there are things in your life stressing you out constantly, maybe its time to take a look at how you can overcome that or not get yourself into those situations where your likely to feel stressed.

One final note as well, another key to losing weight is to keep at it. Getting into a good exercise rhythm is difficult i know, but once you have a good routine keeping at it will see more results for your effort than breaking your cycle and starting again.

Hope this information helps you in your quest.

Good luck :)

#9631 Heroes as eSport

Posted by DevilsD on 11 November 2013 - 02:05 AM

I think the devs want Competitive Style gameplay and organization to come organically and naturally from the players without any special intervention or "out of the way" design decisions to make it obvious that it should be played competitively.

They want the players to make what they have done with the game into a competitively playable game. I think its a better way to go than the devs trying to figure it all out on their own and forcing their own brand of what Competition is onto players, it keeps fun gameplay at the games core and the competitive side will be built upon that core fun gameplay which keeps it much more accessible to a wider audience later down the road.

#8872 Diablo [main thread]

Posted by DevilsD on 18 September 2013 - 09:09 AM

Im hoping this bodes well for everyone in another way. With the Auction House gone there isnt really a very inviting direct way players can interact with eachother to trade items outside of joining a random game hoping to find someone that is willing to trade. What im suggesting is that this opens the doors for a very viable reason to introduce proper Chat Channels and Lobbies just like in Diablo 2 and not the over simplified PM'esk system thats implemented now.

It seems to me that the new Lead is taking Diablo back to its root slowly ( at least parts of the good roots :) ) so i wouldnt put it to far out of the way for something like this or other traditional ways of doing things in the future.

I hope :)
