1. Remove Format - removes any formatting (bold, color, size, etc) on the selected text.

2. My Media - a very easy way to insert into a post images you've already uploaded on the website. You can do it either with:

  • previously files that you've attached to a post (by using the Attach Files option below the editor textarea.)
  • entire Gallery albums, that you've created.
  • select images from your own albums or that you've uploaded to albums created by others.

3. Paste as Plain Text - if you're pasting text from a different site and don't wish to carry on the formatting, press this button and paste the text in the box that opens, then press OK. It will be inserted into your post as plain, unformatted text.

4. Image - inserts an image into your post. Just press the button, paste the URL for it and hit OK. Optionally, by selecting the image and pressing the Link button you can attach an URL to it or, by placing the cursor before or after it, you can align it with the help of the alignment buttons.

5. Code - formats a text fragment as source code for a language you choose. You can also add rows before the text, for easier identification of rows.

6. Quote - inserts a quote box around the selected text.

7. Background Color - adds a background color behind the selected text. Use this in combination with the Text Color button (top row, right of the Size box).

8. Horizontal Rule - pretty obvious. ->

9. Media - attempts to embed the link you provide it. Supports various sites (Youtube, Vimeo, etc) and formats (various audio and video formats)

10. Spoiler - hides the selected content. It can be revealed only after pressing a button. Useful for not only hiding spoilers, but also for when you are inserting many videos or images, so you don't slowdown the page too much for other people with slower computers. It will look like this ->

Spoiler

11. Table - opens a window that provides instructions on creating a table (that will be automatically styled). If you know basic HTML, just use the same tags, except between square brackets. If not, follow the example provided in the window and below

[table]
[tr][th]Header - Row 1, Column 1[/th][th]header - Row 1, Column 2[/th][th]Header - Row 1, Column 3[/th][/tr]
[tr][td]Row 2, Column 1[/td][td]Row 2, Column 2[/td][td]Row 2, Column 3[/td][/tr]
[tr][td2]Row 3, Column 1[/td2][td2]Row 3, Column 2[/td2][td2]Row 3, Column 2[/td2][/tr]
[tr][td]Row 4, Column 1[/td][td]Row 4, Column 2[/td][td]Row 4, Column 3[/td][/tr]
[/table]

12. Tweet - embeds a tweet into the post. Just paste the URL and that's all. If you don't see it after you submit your post, just refresh the page.

13. TwitchTV - inserts a twitch.tv live stream. Be careful not to paste the URL as with the other options, but the name of the channel.

The rest of the BBCodes should be obvious, but if you have any questions, this is the place to ask.

14. Font-Awesome icons! - easily insert any of the 361 icons available in this collection.

The entire list is available HERE. All you have to do is copy the name of the desired icon and paste it between the "fa" tags or in the window that pops up when you click on the toolbar button. Here's an example:

is obtained with

[fa]icon-cog[/fa]

You may notice that the default icon is a bit small. You can adjust the size of it very easy, by introducing one of the following commands after the icon's name: icon-large (33% increase), icon-2x, icon-3x, icon-4x. Here's an example:

is obtained with

[fa]icon-cog icon-3x[/fa]

You can also position the icon all the way to the left or to the right, with the help of pull-left or pull-right.

To add to all this, use icon-spin with any icon to make it rotate. Works especially well with 2 of the icons, namely icon-spinner and icon-refresh. Here's an example:

is obtained with

[fa]icon-refresh icon-spin icon-2x[/fa]

15. 3D orange text with fancy mouse-over effect - easy to use, perfect for titles / subtitles. Don't over-use it though.

Here's an example:

Fancy sub-title for my awesome new thread

is obtained with

[3dtext]Fancy sub-title for my awesome new thread[/3dtext]

Also, taking suggestions for new BBCodes!

A useful one that i think will do nicely for this forum since we do alot of very long posts would be an ANCHOR BBCode.

Not sure how you setup new BBCodes but heres some source code for an ANCHOR.

Usage:

[ANCHOR={SIMPLETEXT}][/ANCHOR]

HTML Replacement:

<A NAME="{SIMPLETEXT}"></A>

Great idea! Thing is, there already is an option to do this, but it's currently disabled due to some really weird bug. Basically, the text after the anchor completely disappears from the post. I'll look into it more and maybe find or figure out a fix.

Hm... when something auto-saves if you click it to load it back in it all comes up as BBCodes or HTML or some sort of code stuff. I try turning BBCode mode on and then previewing it but it still all looks like codey rubbish. Any idea on this? Probably a text-editor side bug :D

Also, is it possible to control how big an image is using code on here?

Will look into it, but so far I'm not able to reproduce it.

As for the image size, there is one way, but it's not very straightforward.

Basically you first have to upload that image into one of your albums from the Gallery (if you don't have one then you need to create it). After that, you can choose a couple of different sizes for it, like this: http://titanfocus.in...omentum/medium/ (right click on the desired image size and choose to copy its URL).

Updated the OP (and the actual text editor) with two new BBCodes. See numbers 14 and 15 for details.
