Starting Note

I aim to make this forum a clean and civilized place for Titan fans to share their thoughts. Even if the rules are many and long, there's basically one main thing to keep in mind when making a post: respect your fellow members. I know this is the Internet, where people are about 14.000 times more rude than in real life, but any form of racism, violent language, threats, insults, vulgar language, flaming, trolling, harassment will be swiftly dealt with.

So please, before going on a bashing spree, keep in mind you're talking to other human beings with whom you probably have a lot in common. It's also a good advice in case you're planning on not dying from a heart attack. :p

Content NOT Allowed On This Site

  • E-currency / Account selling or trading.
  • Content that is considered illegal by law.
  • Pornography.
  • Extreme nationalism.
  • Political or religious discussions.
  • Activities considered illegal by Blizzard Entertainment.
  • Keyloggers, hoaxes/phishing websites.
  • Buying / selling / trading of items in-game or in real life.

Any engagement in one of these topics will be punished with a permanent ban for the persons involved.

Posting DONTs

Any spamming / trolling / flaming or other bad forum practices will NOT be allowed and also punished with warnings / bans.
The following practices qualify as bad:

  • Posting in a different language than English. Also, enrolling in grammar police is just as bad. For a lot of players English is not the native language (myself included) so correcting small mistakes shows a certain degree of intolerance.
  • Repeatedly creating threads in the wrong forum section (not EVERYTHING belongs in General Discussions section :D )
  • Flooding the forum with meaningless, low quality content posts.
  • Posts / threads clearly designed to elicit an unproductive response.
  • Causing disturbances in forum threads, such as looking for fights, making off topic posts that hijack the thread, insulting other posters.
  • Abusing the Reported Post feature by sending false alarms or nonsensical messages. Same rules apply to the Reputation system.
  • Snarky one line replies such as TL;DR, in before <insert action / person>, /facepalm, cool story bro, u mad lol, etc
  • Thread-necro: Reviving an old thread for no reason other than bumping it to the first page.
  • Creating duplicate threads in the same or multiple sections to attract more attention.
  • Posting personal information on someone else!
  • Any other behaviour the moderating team considers hurtful to the other members.

ANY advertisements that are not approved by the admins / moderators first will be deleted and the account that created them perma-banned.

If you do wish to "plug" your website / service, make sure to first send a message to an admin / moderator and wait for his response. 99% of the advertisments not related to Titan will not be aproved. The others can be denied by the admins / moderators for any reason whatsoever.

Discussing Admin / moderator actions

Actions taken against a member of the community are not to be discussed in public on the forums. Opinions about specific moderators or moderator actions (locking, deleting threads, etc) are also not to be discussed in posts or threads.

If you have questions, remarks, suggestions or complaints about moderating in general or specific moderators, please contact the website admin through a private message.

Bypassing bans

Posting on another account or having someone else post in your behalf when your account has been banned is not allowed. As a result, a new ban will be issued.

Multiple accounts

Multiple accounts and sock-puppets, accounts created by a poster to agree and to try to make their views look more accepted, are annoying.  Please don't create multiple accounts.  There's no need, and where we find multiple accounts, we will block access to the clones and may also ban the main account if it continues after being asked to desist.

They undermine trust and are unwelcome.  Making fake accounts is not building a consensus- anyone can open five email accounts and there are many better ways of proving a point.
Also, when people are banned, the ban applies to the person, so any further accounts they make will be closed.

Posting Guidelines

  • Read the forums rules and guidelines before posting for the first time.
  • Act in a give and take manner; help others as often as or more than you ask for help.
  • Use the search function or browse the latest topics before creating a new thread.
  • Use a meaningful title for your thread.
  • Say online exactly what you would say in person.
  • Stay on topic.
  • Ignore spammers, respond to them personally and not through the board, or report them.
  • Limit the usage of CAPS (capital letters), color, and special fonts.
  • Do not quote entire posts, only quote parts you wish to elaborate on. The quote button is not a reply button.
  • Format your post (no "Wall of text"); paragraphs make reading a big post a lot easier.
  • Do not submit a post that requires readers to download a large attachment. Either explain the attachment or, better yet, provide a link to the information.
  • In order to be understood by most people, use correct spelling, grammar and avoid slang unless you know the word or phrase will be understood by other members.
  • Do not post new problems on someone else's thread and interrupt a topic of discussion.
  • Do not use a huge and annoying signature, a modest signature is fine, moderators may (and probably will) remove large ones anyway.
  • Do not post any information that you want private. Posts should not contain personal, identifiable information or content embarrassing to others.
  • Do not post content that violates a copyright.
  • Do not use words like ”urgent” or ”important” in your subject line, be patient.
  • Do not chastise newbies.
